Fat Loss vs. Weight Loss

    In today's society everybody tends to see how good they have done based upon a scale that measures the amount of weight you have. This has created a bunch of drones who would do anything to shed those 5 pounds because they want to break that 130 mark or that 200 mark when in reality what we are looking to lose is the fat not the weight. The weight comes off if you focus on fat loss but gradually because you will lose fat but gain muscle and once you have more muscle you will burn more calories which equals in more fat loss.
 
     Weight loss methods aren't the healthiest methods and can usually end with people dehydrating themselves, malnourishing their bodies, and putting oneself on a diet that is unrealistic. About 70% of our bodies wieght is water weight! I recently saw the biggest loser on tv and saw this lady who had dropped a staggering 12 pounds on a extreme diet but here body fat percentage hadn't moved at all because she had just lost water weight!
 
   Understanding that the weight took on a long time to get on is essential to understanding it is going to take a while to shave it off. Implementing lifestyle changes and just eating healthier, exercising, and sleeping are also preventive methods to future degenerative diseases. One can improve their health, range of motion, and happiness through healthy lifestyles! I know because I am a testament to this. It works if you percevere and make it second nature. I am not superhuman or have a secret to my success, I just did what they have been telling us to do since kindergarten which is eat right, exercise, and sleep at least 7 hours a night.
 
   When it comes to fat loss vs. wieght loss, fat loss wins every time because it comes with the most benifits and it will allow you to become that 5% who doesn't only lose the weight but keeps it off! Find what program works for you and if it didn't well take something from everything to make it your own and remmember we only learn through trial and error so don't be discouraged. The glory isn't in falling but in getting back up again.
