"The path to a healthier tommorow!"

Exercise

By:Octaviano Luis Longoria, Certified Personal Trainer

Everyone has their own interpretation of exercise, some make it seem as if it were the most dreadful thing in the world, others are excited and always ready for a little workout. People associate their thoughts of a workout with with either positive or negative but why would one have negative thoughts about something that can only bring benefits and is free?

People don't understand that at all times we are exercising no matter what we are doing. For example when you sit up right and you suck your stomach in and straighten out your back you are doing an isometric contraction. This is just one of many examples I could give you but you realize that when you exercise you are just trying to improve your quality of your movement or coordination. Which would be the connection between your head and your muscles.

You can mix it up actually I personally always mix it up because I like getting the most out of my workouts and the way to do that is to mix it up so your muscles don't get use to doing the same exercise. Cardio can be implemented in a circuit routine, or you can park your car further away from the office, maybe take your dog out for a walk two times a day, or just swim a couple of laps on a hot sunny day.

You can do whatever you want just mix it up keep it exciting or get someone that will do that for you like a good personal trainer. Understand that they are here as human movement specialist that are trying to align your body correctly seeing how you move understanding anatomy, and re aligning your body with exercise to under active muscles to compensate for the over activity in other muscles. Don't be scared of working out or taking a walk remember if you don't use it you lose it (muscle atrophy). Stay strong, live long, and never sacrifice principle for temporary gain.
