Role models are ideal people! Basically they embody everything we think we should be and should be looked upon for their lifestyles but not praised. Once we praise people or look at them as more than people but Idols we take away the fact that whatever they did we can do they are no better than us and we are no less than them.
We all have some type of role model in our life. I know I do! For me a role model is a person who goes against the current stands for what he believes in because he knows it is right no matter if it isn't popular or the trend. Some one who upholds the righteouss in the face of evil and rather lets fear engulf him he acknowledges that he is scared but gains courage in knowing there is something bigger than his fear hanging in the balance. His morals, virtues, and structure that his parents had instilled in him or rather he had gained to know because we are taught what is right and what is wrong but media portrays something different.
All the kids think it is cool to do drugs and in the movies it always looks cool but they also always die in the movies and what started as an action became a habit and sooner or later all that was left was an addiction. I am on a mission to be a role model for those who have struggled in life like myself with addictions, living in the fast lane, and really reflect upon my actions acknowledge that I can't change what I have done but I can change who I can become! We need not only talk but show with our actions, and really live a healthy lifestyle, in what we eat, drink, and think mentally, physically, and spiritually!
I challenge you to take up the path that is less paved and run down by the sheep who have gone with the flow and go down the right path and be a leader for other to follow! Be an example with your actions, speak with dignity, and together we can change the world a day at a time but we must first begin with a single step and remmeber to keep moving forward!
