One of the most important tips for thinking clearly is to get enough sleep. Normal brain function depends on the amount of sleep you get. The minimum amount of sleep necessary is five hours. Some would rather have seven hours. Making sure that you are getting the right amount of sleep is the key to being able to think clearly.
